Membership
Join the club
Banbury Hockey Club welcomes potential new members throughout the season, both playing and non-playing.
Our membership runs continually from the date you join. We welcome players to attend a training session and get to know our fun-loving club before making the decision to join us.

Associate membership restricts the number of matches playable to 10. At that point, members can either upgrade to Senior membership or “pay as you play”.
Insurance
Public liability cover is provided for all club members, coaches, umpires and volunteers whilst undertaking activities sanctioned by the club. Cover is available as part of the England Hockey Coaches membership for individuals who coach or umpire outside of the club environment.
Indemnity is extended to include:
- Club activities, including training for and playing hockey, hockey festivals, tournaments, social, fundraising and administrative activities, subject to appropriate risk assessments.
- A club member who causes injury, damage or financial loss to a fellow member.
- A club which borrows, rents or leases premises for sporting or social purposes and is held liable for damage to the facility.
- Additional sporting activities of lacrosse or cricket, where these are a secondary club activity.
Cover is not provided for personal injury. Members should take out their own accident cover.
Hockey festivals
Members attending and representing their club at hockey festivals are insured. Members who are not representing their club and attend a festival or tournament in their own personal capacity are not insured under the club insurance policy.
